Question 1

Will I get more money selling on CarWebb or Carwow?

Accepted Answer

Private sellers usually achieve significantly higher monetary returns selling on CarWebb because cars are sold directly at true private retail market value. Carwow primarily functions as a trade auction where dealerships bid wholesale trade prices to leave margin for dealer resale.

Question 2

Can dealers interact directly with buyers on both platforms?

Accepted Answer

CarWebb provides real-time direct chat between buyers and sellers, enabling questions, vehicle history discussions, and immediate scheduling. Carwow acts as an intermediary quoting engine where communication is mediated around sealed bids and quotes.

Question 3

What are the costs for dealers on CarWebb compared to Carwow?

Accepted Answer

CarWebb charges simple flat subscriptions starting at £49/month without charging commission per car sold. Carwow charges transactional acquisition fees and success commissions when dealers purchase or sell cars through their reverse auction system.
